During the class, which usually lasts 2-3 hours, attendees will be guided by a whisky expert, who will provide information on the different types of whiskies and their characteristics. Participants will learn about the distillation and ageing processes used to make whiskies, and how these factors affect the final flavour profile. Attendees will also have the opportunity to taste a variety of different whiskies, and learn how to identify and evaluate the different flavours and aromas. They will be provided with a selection of different whiskies to blend, and will be taught how to experiment with different ratios and combinations to create their own unique blends. Each participant will have the opportunity to create their own blend to take home.
